Wastewater treatment plants BIG-MF®

Bioengineering lunched the new line of wastewater treatment plants so called BIG-MF©, for industrial and municipal wastewater treatment. This technology is an upgrade of the already existing BIG-G©. This type of WWTP uses microfiltration membranes as a tertiary treatment of the wastewater.  With this technology we are able to obtain high level of purification (the effluent is from I category).

big-mf

The MF process is a system of microfiltration membranes positioned inside or out the BIG-G©. The usage of this technology results with the highest quality of effluent water, that is in accordance with the strictest criteria.

Working procedure of the MF technology

The working procedure of the membrane filtration is based on separation of the solid matters suspended in the water with the help of pressure difference. The liquid media (in most cases, water) passes trough the membranes, while the solid particles stay in the inside of the membrane, from where they are automatically removed.

Advantages:

  • Maximal quality of the effluent, as a result of the complete separation of the solid particles from the water.
  • Realization of the hygiene standards as a result of high level of bacterial and viral separation with the process of MF.
  • High concentration of active biomass, which achieves reduction of the aeration pool volume by 70%.
  • Extraction of the bio film that is created on the surface of the membrane with a minimal energy operating cost.
  • The periodic disinfection of the system protects it from contamination
  • Total automatic filtration, which depends on trans membrane pressure, with automatic self cleaning when the pressure exceeds the limits. After the pressure normalization, the filtration goes back to normal mode also.
  • The modular construction allows easy detection and replacement of the individual units.
  • Replacement of individual or all membrane segments.
