was established in 1998, as a private company specializing in the development and production of microbial products for the natural treatment of environmental issues associated with the various uses of water, biogas and recycling of organic matter, application and placement of technologies for environmental protection. Our members privately work in the field of environmental protection since 1982, which amounts more than twenty years of experience, and for its work our company has received a large number of national and international awards and recognitions, among which a special place occupies the gold medal for best patent at the IENA fair for patents and innovations 2005 in Nuremberg, Germany, and also the patent of the year in R. of Macedonia award in 2005.

The company is located in Skopje with professional area of interest in applied microbiology and biotechnology, which in practice is applied to the development and production systems and technologies for the treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater. The scopes of industrial activities (markets) are small private facilities to large industries, among which pharmaceutical and chemical industries occupy a special place.

Rural energy planning requires choices among energy technologies. Until recently, the choices have been confined to centralized energy supply technologies. Increasingly, however, centralized energy sources face two major - and probably insurmountable - difficulties:

• Shortages of capital
  
• Public opposition focused on local and global environmental degradation

It has, therefore, become essential to extend the list of technological alternatives for energy decision-making to include decentralized sources of supply like RES. For that purpose in 1998, Bioengineering began to investigate the possibilities of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), in this case biogas as a by-product of wastewater treatment, for energy supply in isolated areas. The application of low-cost innovative RES technologies was studied and innovative decision support and operational tools for energy supply and wastewater treatment (WWT) developed. The case studies were done in Macedonia. These investigations are now incorporated and applied in the target research projects financed by the European commission framework programs.

Bioengineering provides environmentally safe solutions for industrial, agricultural and residential wastewater management, as well as hazardous waste and pollution remediation. Bioengineering’s principal products are natural bacteria formulas used in aerobic and anaerobic (biogas reactors) wastewater treatment plants. They have been proven, with over nine years of successful in market trial and usage, to be extremely effective in a broad spectrum of treatments of wastewater for Residential, Municipal, Industrial and Agricultural applications. Following the principles of microbiology and biotechnology, the company will develop new processes of industrial and urban waste water and improve the work of the existing system and application performance technology on the basis of the mixed microbial culture, and biotechnology. Acquired knowledge in the field of wastewater treatment and application of biotechnology in wastewater treatment, will be transfer to the system managers or professionals who will work on further development of biological processes of wastewater.
